With just a week weeks to go two tasty food fairs, planned as part of Rugby’s first food and drink festival, are almost fully booked.
Taking place on Thursday September 26 in Market Place and on Saturday September 28 in the grounds of St Andrew’s Church between 10am and 4pm, they are guaranteed to whet your appetite and quench your thirst. On the menu will be gourmet toasties, barbecue baby back ribs, buttermilk fried chicken, paella, wood fired pizza, artisan hot dogs, organic crepes, Thai, Indian, Caribbean, hog roast, vegan and gluten free food – all freshly cooked, sizzling and full of mouth-watering flavours ready to eat.
Packed full of delicious and tantalising treats, the two fairs, will offer a great selection of high quality food and drink, from local restaurants, bars, cafes, businesses, farms and producers.
There will also be some locally sourced street food offering good quality honest food at affordable prices that you can trust, cooked in front of you by entertaining, skilful and passionate food artisans. If that does not tempt you how about award winning cakes, cheeses, meats, fish, fudge, honey, jams, olives, ciders, breads, real ales and lots more.
As the perfect complement to your street dining experience there will also be a pop-up demonstration kitchen, sponsored by Rugby Fitted Kitchens in partnership with Neff built-in appliances.
The kitchen, located in the grounds of St Andrew’s Church, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 11am to 3pm, will showcase informative and colourful cookery demonstrations over the three days.
