The town’s official World Cup song - Lions Roar - has climbed to number 14 in the iTunes singer/songwriter chart.

The rousing single, written and performed by Speak Brother, was launched at a special event at Lawrence Sheriff School last week.

Speak Brother, a Rugby band, spent nine months writing and recording the track, as well as capturing primary school children’s voices to include on the single, and shooting the video.

The song was commissioned by Rugby FM and Rugby Borough Council.

The video was played at the Wasps Vs Samoa game at the Ricoh Arena.
