Another significant number of stamps have been donated to the Rugby Stamp Appeal.

Readers of the Advertiser, and others, drop off used stamps at Wild & Free at 6 Bank Street in Rugby.

Owner Steve Prime, said, “There were some really interesting stamps in this batch, it’s exciting to see the great variety of stamps that people kindly donate. It is good to be involved in a project like this that supports such worthy causes.”

The project is managed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Oliver Street in Rugby.

Project co-ordinator Des Waddington said: “The Used Stamp Appeal in Rugby goes from strength to strength. As we approach Christmas, we have the opportunity to see the number of stamp donations increase as we receive cards from friends and relatives”.

The donation of these stamps benefits needy people in the UK and overseas through the efforts of Oxfam and Leukaemia Care, who sell the stamps to raise funds for their charitable work.
