A 19-year-old from Hillmorton is asking people to vote for her business venture so she can pitch it Richard Branson.

Alice Stewardson needs 500 online votes to get through to the next round of Virgin Media Business’ Pitch to Rich initiative.

She hopes her business, Collision Alert, has what it takes to persuade Mr Branson to invest in it.

Alice offers an affordable, plug and play telematics box that monitors activity, safety, security and location of vehicles. If someone is in a crash, it automatically sends an SMS message to loved ones informing them.

Alice dedcided to pursue the venture after she was in a car crash in February 2014.

She said: “I have first-hand experience of how essential and lifesaving this product is as the black box fitted in my car made a call to both the emergency services and my parents, informing them of the collision. I can offer a simple, cost-effective Collision Alert box.”
