More then four out of ten non-home owners aged 25 to 34 in the UK doubt they will ever be able to buy a property, while one in three have no interest in buying.

Research by mortgage firm Ocean Finance shows that 40 per cent say that while they would like to be able to buy a home in the future they do not expect they will ever be able to do so, while 32 per cent claim to be positively wanting to rent and have no interest in buying.

However, those aged 18 to 25 are more optimistic. Some 54 per cent say they want to buy a house in the future and believe that they will be able to do so.

Cadman Homes, a family owned estate agency in Rugby has a solution.

Shared Ownership is a Government-backed scheme that helps people get onto the ladder by buying a percentage of a property, with the remaining share being held by a housing association. Cadman Homes has a new release of four new shared-ownership properties on the Taylor Wimpy Butterfield Gardens site near to the college.

They offer off road parking, double bedrooms and gardens and prices start at £31,250 for a 25 per cent share all the way up to £93,750 for a 75 per cent share.
