School scores top marks for safety

PUPILS at a village school have been crowned county road safety champions.

Year Six children from Provost Williams Schools in Ryton-on-Dunsmore took the top spot after beating off stiff competition from more than 80 other schools in the Warwickshire County Council’s annual road safety quiz.

At a special road safety assembly, the team of 16 children who took part in the quiz were presented with their regional trophy for the eastern area and the championship shield by Cllr Richard Hobbs, portfolio holder for community safety.
