Serious accident closes A45 near Rugby
A serious accident has currently blocked the A45 westbound, just west of the point where it is joined by the Straight Mile and the traffic coming over the flyover by McDonald's, wanting to head towards Coventry.
Police have closed the A45 just east of the accident to use the turn-off for the petrol station and McDonald’s. Police said the accident involved a collision between a car and motorcycle at 4.10pm this afternoon.
There is now a full road closure of the A45 westbound from the junction with the M45 roundabout.
Police said it was too early to comment on the injuries.
