POLICE have closed the A14 near Rugby after a serious crash at the notorious Catthorpe Interchange.

Emergency services were called to the incident just before 9am this morning.

A collision involving a lorry, a van and a tanker believed to be carrying cryogenic freezing liquid happened on the A14 westbound near the Catthorpe interchange.

“Junction one westbound and junction one eastbound have been closed.

“All occupants are out of their vehicles and there are no reports of any injuries.”

There are currently severe delays in both directions on the A14 and M1.
