WORK to replace water pipes in Addison Road after several bursts caused disruption to the water supply for residents is nearly complete.

Jonathan Tait, programme manager for Severn Trent said: “The work along Addison Road itself is now complete with approximately 575m of water pipe having been replaced. We still have some work to do, but the team is making good progress. For the next three weeks we will be replacing approximately 200m of water pipe on Lawford Road. Two way traffic lights will be in place to allow us to work safely and to keep traffic flowing around the site.

“We had aimed to complete the work by the end of September, however we’ve had to extend as renewing the pipes in Lawford Road proved to be more complex than we first thought. Our teams are still working 6 days per week to get the work finished as soon as possible.

“We would like to thank our customers for their continued patience while we complete this necessary work.”
