The owner of a new Rugby business will soon be able to help cancer patients in their quest to return to normal life with free beauty treatments.
Shantel Penlington, 25, who runs Permanently Fabulous in Albert Street, aims to give confidence back to people who have the disease.
She is trained in semi-permanent make-up and will transform men and women – without charge – who have lost their eyebrows due to harsh treatment when she completes gold training.
As well as eyebrow tattoos, Shantel does lip blushes, eyelash enhancers and eyeliner.
Permanently Fabulous is an extension of a family-run tattooing and piercing business called Tattoo 2000 Ink in You, where Shantel is also a body piercer.
She said: “I absolutely love my new job and this journey as a whole.
“It’s going really well and I’ve had so much interest in my treatments. Eyebrows are the most popular.”
She has had plenty of models to do her work on and has been offering discount treatments.
“It’s great seeing people leaving the salon looking and feeling really confident,” said Shantel.
The make-up doesn’t last forever and clients are invited to go for ‘top up’ treatments.
“I discuss in depth with the client what style and colour suits them best and we work together until we are both happy.”
