PARENTS, children and friends of Clifton Playgroup have shown their silent support.
On June 22, Clifton School was full for a silent auction to raise money for the playgroup’s replacement boiler as well as new toys and equipment.
Bidders had a wide range of donated items to choose from including kettles and a shower but also things like a signed England football shirt and a month of free personal training sessions.
The auction raised £1,370 which will go a long way to keep the playgroup going.
Deputy supervisor of the playgroup Sharron Anstey said: “We have to rely on events like this one for a lot of our funding so it’s good to see that it is well supported and we hope that this will continue with our future events.”
