AN AFTERNOON and evening of music and comedy has been organised in Rugby on Saturday for the Matt Hampson Foundation.
It takes place at St Andrews Rugby Football Club on Ashlawn Road from 12noon until 11pm. The foundation supports young people injured through sport.
There will be a rugby sevens tournament from 12pm and live music beginning at 2pm.
Acts feature some of the best performers in the region, including Lew Bear, Adam Johns, Charlie Mucklow, Dirty Pool, Trip to the Sun, Callum McPhillips, My Jaike, the Record Covers as well as the up-and-coming stand-up comedian Joey Brannigan. There will also be a barbecue, bar, DJ and special guest auctioneer Lee Bunting, joint winner of Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me.
There will also be an opportunity to get a photograph with Kevin Murch, Rugby’s very own Olympic torch bearer for a small charitable donation.
Entry is free but donations will be encouraged and more prizes for the action and raffle are welcome.
All participants have given their time and effort free of charge.
