A CHARITY cyclist who re-traced his grandfather’s wartime footsteps across Europe has managed to raise £1,600.

Andy Walker, grandson of Harry Walker, cycled 1,500 miles through France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany - the same route as that taken by his grandfather’s regiment, the 11th Armoured Division ‘Black Bulls’. Andy, who accomplished the feat solo, paid for his own way and slept in a tent throughout the trip, which lasted about two weeks. All the sponsorship money will go to the British Legion’s Galanos House in Southam, which cares for elderly ex-servicemen and their families. To sponsor Andy, visit, justgiving.com/blackbullride.
