To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, participating solicitors are taking part in Make a Will Week.
Sixteen solicitors across the two counties are taking part in the scheme, offering free basic will-writing, a service which usually costs between £70 and £150.
All the charity asks is that anyone taking up the offer makes a donation to their lifesaving service.
Approximately one in ten of the charity’s lifesaving rescue missions across the counties are funded by gifts left in Wills. Attending approximately 14,285 rescue missions over the last ten years, the service has touched many lives in our community.
By taking part in Make a Will Week supporters can write their will, or make amendments to an existing Will, whilst supporting their local Air Ambulance.
Catherine Burchnall, company secretary for Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, said: “We know that writing your will can be daunting, and the thought of leaving loved ones is never easy. However by contacting one of our partner solicitors during Make a Will Week, you can be sure that writing your Will can help us to save lives.
“It is important to make or update your Will to safeguard and provide for your loved ones - especially if your circumstances have changed in recent years, as your current Will may not consider grandchildren, changes in marital status or property ownership.”
Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance receives no Government Funding, and relies on donations to keep its lifesaving service running.
Make a Will Week takes place from Monday September 30, to Friday October 4. A list of participating solicitors can be found on the Charity’s website: www.theairambulanceservice.org.uk/willweek, or by calling 08454 130 999.
