Specsavers in Rugby is ensuring school pupils are seen during the winter months, by donating high-visibility vests to Brooke School.

The bright garments will ensure youngsters are seen when walking to and from school during the dark evenings.

Store director Bhavna Hughes said: “We’re really keen to promote the importance of safety for children when they’re on the roads. Hopefully the donation of vests will give teachers and parents peace of mind.”

The donation coincided with Road Safety Week last month.

The annual campaign is sponsored by Specsavers.
