National residential housing developer St Modwen Homes has highlighted its love of rugby by donating £1,000 for new kits to a local team.

The award-winning housebuilder behind the new Edison Place development off Technology Drive, recently supplied new kits for the Rugby Andrews players, which proudly feature the St. Modwen Homes logo.

John Parsons, chairman of Rugby St Andrews RFC Mini and Juniors, said: “We’re delighted that St Modwen Homes is sponsoring our 2013-14 season and are over the moon with how the new kits have turned out.

“Continuing the founding values on which the club was established in 1929, Rugby St Andrews aims to provide young players with the tools, support and training to encourage physical, social and vocational development. With the support of individuals and businesses such as St. Modwen Homes, we can provide high-quality equipment and training for our players – we’re hoping the kits will bring us luck as we enter the latter part of the 2013-14 rugby season!”

New homes are currently for sale at Edison Place, starting in price from £209,995 for a three-storey semi-detached property, up to £276,500 for a traditional four-bedroom detached home with an integrated garage.

All the homes are available under the Government’s equity loan scheme, Help to Buy, under which purchasers require a deposit of just five per cent.

The development is proving popular, with 35 per cent of homes already sold from plan.

Typical of St Modwen Homes’ design-led approach to housebuilding, the new properties at Edison Place all boast higher than average ceilings alongside large bay windows, allowing natural light to flood through the homes.
