THE name of the store manager at the new Morrisons store in Rugby has been announced.

Jenny Haywood, 28, has been named as the general manager for the new Morrisons store in Rugby, which is due to open in May.

The supermarket chain is taking over the former Netto store in Corporation Street.

Jenny said she is enthusiastic about management and brings a wealth of retail knowledge to the new Rugby store, obtained over her extensive retail career which started over 12 years ago where she started as a cashier, aged 16.

Her career with Morrisons has spring boarded since, holding a number of roles including acting deputy manager and deputy general manager in Morrisons stores in Binley and Shirley.

Looking forward to the opening day, Jenny believes that she is more than ready for the busy and challenging role ahead of her, but there is a lot of work to be done before the store doors are even opened.

From checking that 15,000 own label and branded products are neatly stacked on the shelves, to ensuring that all new members of staff are fully trained, Jenny and her management team will be working extremely hard to add the finishing touches over the coming weeks.

Jenny said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be taking up this position and offering shoppers in Rugby an excellent supermarket and superb product range, in a great location. Rugby deserves a fresh new supermarket and I am looking forward to serving the local community.”
