Several schools in Rugby will close or partially close for one day next week as teachers go out on strike.
Some teachers will strike for the day on Tuesday (October 1) - forcing some schools to close.
Teaching unions NUT and NASUWT announced the strikes as a further step in ongoing disputes over pay, pensions, working conditions and jobs.
Schools in and around Rugby that will be closed or partially closed on Tuesday October 1 are:
*Henry Hinde Junior School - closed to children in year 4
*Dunchurch Infant School - partially closed
*Dunchurch Boughton Junior School - closed for years three and four - 1 year 5 and 1 year 6 class only.
*Provost Williams Primary School - fully closed
*St Matthew’s Bloxam Primary School - fully closed
*Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School, Princethorpe - closed to children in years 3, 4 and 5
*Boughton Leigh Infant - fully closed
*Revel Primary - closed to palm class (year 4)
*Hillmorton Primary School - fully closed
*Oakfield Primary School - fully closed
*Bilton School - partially closed - closed to year 10 and 11
*The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College - fully closed
*Brownsover Community School - partially closed - closed to nursery and reception
*St Oswald’s C.Of E. Primary School - fully closed
*Harris School - partially closed - closed to years 7-10
*Boughton Leigh Junior School - fully closed
*St Marie’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery (both sites) - fully closed
*The Riverside Academy - fully closed
*Ashlawn School - fully closed (still open to staff)
*Rugby High School - fully closed
