Crick Jubilee Wood is having a grand opening event on Saturday, September 12.

People are invited to go down to the woods, which is just north of the village next to the canal, for a teddy bears’ picnic from noon, followed by the ribbon cutting at 1.30pm.

Crick Jubilee Woodland site covers three fields (Under Crick Hill, Brims Hill and Warm Brook) totalling 6.5 hectare (about 12 acres).

To get there either walk along the footpath from Yelverfoft Road around Crick Sports Field, or along the canal from The Moorings and drop down into the wood by Bridge 13 or Footbridge 14.

By car you follow the access track from Crick Sports Field car park.
