THOUSANDS of people packed the streets of Rugby this morning for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the Olympic Flame.
There was a carnival atmosphere outside the clock tower as the procession drove through between 8.30am and 9am while outside the town hall there were West Indian Drummers and a Rugby FM roadshow. Fortunately the rain held off and the crowds were able to enjoy the spectacle in relatively good weather. After passing trhough Rugby it was taken via convoy to Dunchruch, where it will end its journey in the West Midlands.
