After last week’s speculation over the timetable for a replacement GP surgery for Brownsover and the north of Rugby, David Williams, locality director, NHS England (West Midlands), said: “We are continuing to work with the Brownsover Patient Action Group, the CCG and NHS Property Services on the outline business case that is needed for the proposed new GP surgery in Brownsover.

“The outline business case includes details about the design and layout of the new building, for example the number of consulting rooms, drainage, etc. Because these details are still being worked up it is too early to set a timeline or final date for completion. However, we expect the new building will be ready early in 2018.

“As soon as we have the necessary information we will be talking to Brownsover residents to get their views on the proposals.”
