Warwickshire County Council has been busy working on repairing the county’s roads which have been hard hit by the prolonged winter conditions.
Each year around 15,000 potholes are reported and officers are anticipating that the figure for this year will exceed that once the freezing conditions end.
Warwickshire County Council, has called for residents to bear with the council as they set about repairing damage.
Jeff Welsby, Operations Manager for County Highways, said: “Many new potholes are developing at a time of year when the annual programmes of repair and refurbishment carried out by our contractor would normally be well underway.
“However with weather conditions showing signs of improving and with budgets and repair teams in place, we are busy undertaking repairs. We can urge residents to bear with us whilst we complete the work and to keep us informed of potholes by reporting them online.”
