Three hairdressers will be taking part in a 24-hour cut to raise money in honour of a Rugby woman who has cancer.
There are still slots available at the Hair Gallery in Hillmorton Road to help raise money in honour of Christine Addison.
Rickella Neal, Louise Woolridge and Faye Copson are sharpening their scissors in preparation for the big event on Saturday, starting at noon.
“This is for Christine, who is such an amazing inspiration,” said Rickella.
Christine, 36, of Coton Meadows, has helped raise thousands of pounds for Cancer Research UK since she was diagnosed with the disease.
She recently took part in Rugby’s Race for Life and her supporters call themselves ‘Christine’s Crew’.
Christine said: “The girls have been so supportive to me and Christine’s Crew and I really hope the cutathon is a huge success.
“The funds raised will all go towards helping cancer sufferers and their families. It has been the most challenging time, but the love and support of my wonderful family and friends is what keeps me going. I am so grateful to each and every person who has held an event, bought a Christine’s Crew band, donated and supported us.”
Christine, who is terminally ill, added: “This experience has shown me how wonderful we are at coming together in times of difficulty.
“I’m eternally grateful.”
