Hit band Toploader, best known for their song Dancing in the Moonlight, will top the bill at Rugby’s Christmas lights switch-on next month.

The event will run from 10.30am to 5.30pm on Sunday November 23. Activities will be focussed around Church Street, North Street and High Street and will include a funfair, fireworks, entertainment and the big switch-on.

Dancing in the Moonlight, a cover of Harvest’s 1972 single, was a global hit in 2000. Their debut album Onka’s Big Moka sold more than a million copies.

More details about the event will be revealed in the coming weeks.
