A soft-toy designer in Rugby is set to grow her business after receiving start-up support.

Plushiemorphs, which was founded by Sarah Parr in 2013, specialises in the design and trade of plush toy animals which change costume to transform into heroes.

And following business support from the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, Sarah is now looking to expand her team and take on a business partner who will handle the sales side of business.

“The chamber has supported me in various ways, most significantly by giving me one-to-one advice which helped me see new opportunities for the business, such as presenting Plushiemorphs at trade and business expos,” she said.

“Presenting the toy line at trade shows has helped me to not just raise the company’s profile but also introduce the toy line to people who handle international sales. Customers and businesses alike have been impressed by Plushiemorphs and I am currently working to find more traders to retail the toy line.”
