Train lines blocked between Rugby and Northampton due to flooding

TRAINS have been cancelled and delayed due to flooding today (Wednesday).

There are problems on both London Midland trains and Virgin in and out of Rugby station this afternoon.

The line is blocked because of flooding.

Both train companies are accepting each others tickets, according to Virgin staff at the station.

Line problem: between Northampton and Rugby.

Owing to flooding between Northampton and Rugby all lines are blocked.

Impact:

Train services running through these stations may be delayed at short notice. An estimate for the resumption of normal services will be provided as soon as the problem has been fully assessed.

Owing to flooding between Birmingham International and Coventry trains have to run at reduced speed on all lines.

Impact:

Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 mins or revised at short notice. An estimate for the resumption of normal services will be provided as soon as the problem has been fully assessed.

Customer Advice:

Virgin Trains services are conveying passengers between London Euston and Birmingham New Street in both directions until further notice. Arrangements have been made for London Midland rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.
