Trains between Rugby and Northampton delayed or cancelled

Trains running between Rugby and Northampton have been delayed or cancelled.

The services were affected because of an earlier fault on a train between the two stations but some lines have now reopened.

London Midland are currently trying to provide their customers with the following alternatives:

Road transport is currently being sourced to collect passengers from Long Buckby to take them to Northampton for forward services to London Euston.

Taxi’s will then assist in shuttling between Rugby and Northampton.

Additional transport is being requested to shuttle passengers from Rugby to Northampton.

Virgin Trains are also accepting passengers between Rugby and London Euston in both directions until further notice.

The disruption to the services is expected to last until around 9.15am.

UPDATE 09.28: London Midland now estimates that the disruptions will last until 11am.
