DISADVANTAGED children in Rugby were given extra presents this Christmas thanks to kindhearted Asda customers.

As part of the Asda Have a Heart Christmas Gift Appeal, shoppers at the Chapel Street store were encouraged to buy a toy from the store which could then be put into a special donation trolley on their way out.

In total 156 toys were collected which were then all donated to the Warwickshire Domestic Violence Support Services.

Alison Morgan from Asda said: “Our target was 150 so to get an extra six was fabulous.”
