A MOTORCYCLIST has been serious injured after a crash in Hillmorton yesterday (Sunday).
A second crash also occurred on the same road around half a mile away at around the same time.
The crashes occurred on High Street, Hillmorton, Rugby, at around 9.20pm on Sunday.
Four ambulances, an incident support officer, two rapid response vehicles, a doctor and the West Midlands CARE team attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived at the first crash to find a motorcycle that had been in a collision with a car and a tree.
“The motorcyclist, a man believed to be in his early 20s, suffered serious pelvic, leg and ankle injuries. The man also suffered a head injury. He received emergency treatment at the scene and his condition was stabilised.
“The motorcyclist was transferred by ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further emergency treatment. The hospital had been alerted to his arrival and serious injuries.
“A pillion passenger was also injured in the crash. The teenager, believed to be 17 years old, suffered a fractured leg. He was also treated at the scene and transferred to the same hospital for further treatment.
“The second crash that occurred was believed to be between two cars. One patient suffered neck and back pain and was treated at the scene. The patient was transferred to UHCW for further treatment. A second patient at the scene was treated for minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.”
