REPORTS of a suspicious vehicle in Hillmorton has led to the arrest of two men.

It was reported to police that two men in a white Peugeot van with red and blue markings had been going to the homes of elderly people in Hillmorton and asking them if they could check their roof for work that needed to be done.

On both occasions the women didn’t let the men carry out the work and therefore no money was handed over.

The registration number was passed on to local beat officer PC Eldridge and checks were made.

The men have also been trying to carry out work in Leamington Spa driving the same vehicle.

Police tracked the men down and arrested them for fraud. They are currently on police bail.
