Two fire crews have been dealing with an oil heater which was on fire inside a building used as a wood store at an industrial premise at Lawford Heath Lane, Long Lawford.

They were called by a member of staff of the premises at 9.25am today (Wednesday). Crews used breathing apparatus and hose reels to put the fire out. They also used a thermal image camera to assist.

An ambulance was requested as two people were suffering from smoke inhalation. Fire crews were at the scene for two hours and left the two casualties in the care of the ambulance service.

There is no news as to the condition of the two casualties.
