A 36-year-old woman is in hospital with chest injuries after an incident in Rugby this afternoon (Tuesday).
Police are remaining tight lipped about what happened but they have just released a statement to the Advertiser, stating that they are “keeping an open mind as to how the injuries were caused”.
As we reported earlier, Northampton Lane in Dunchurch is closed while forensic teams work in the street.
In the last few minutes, police said the road is still closed and the woman is described as stable.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Harrison said: “We are currently speaking to witnesses in an attempt to piece together the events leading up to this incident. At the moment we are keeping an open mind as to how these injuries were caused.”
