Update: Rugby drug dealer sentenced after taking cocaine to Boutique and the Beach nightclub

A Rugby drug dealer has been sentenced to 28 months in prison after appearing at Warwick Crown Court.

On Saturday May 2, at 3.25am, Rugby police officers attended Boutique and the Beach nightclub, in High street, Rugby, where the door staff had detained Matthew Mays for using cocaine.

Police searched the 36-year-old, of New Street, Rugby, and found seven individual street deals of cocaine on him.

During the investigation, the police connected the man to a further twenty eight individual street deals of cocaine (total 19 grams) and drug related paraphernalia.

At the conclusion of the investigation, the man was charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug, namely cannabis.
