Officers seized drugs and weapons during police raids in Brownsover last week.

Warwickshire Police said that Rugby Priority Policing Area (PPA) team carried out four drugs raids in just three days last week.

The raids took place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Two ‘air weapons’ were found at Grizedale in Brownsover and three Samurai swords were seized at Whernside in Brownsover along with a quantity of Class B Cannabis.

Drugs paraphernalia was discovered at properties in Cambridge Street and Plowman Street.

One female and two males are now under investigation.

The raids were part of Operation X - a police initiative to reduce crime and protect communities where most harm is caused.

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: “These warrants were carried out under Operation X which is an ongoing Warwickshire Police campaign aimed at going the extra mile to protect communities within the Priority Policing Area in Rugby, Nuneaton and Leamington Spa where a disproportionate amount of crime happens.”
