We may be more used to seeing her criticising people’s untidiness, but Aggie McKenzie showed her softer side on Thursday by encouraging people in Rugby to cycle more.

The How Clean Is Your House? presenter visited at the Leicester Road viaduct on Thursday 29th August to mark Pedal On UK, a national series of free ‘celebrations’ organised by charity Sustrans.

Speaking about her love of cycling and involvement in Pedal On UK, Aggie said: “Cycling is the most fantastic way of getting around efficiently, quickly and cheaply - it gives you a lovely feeling of freedom. Pedal On UK will be a brilliant force to inspire people to get together for this great form of exercise.”

Sustrans regional director Yvonne Gilligan said: “There are many hundreds of miles of safe cycling and walking routes on people’s door steps, and we hope this event will raise awareness of them. It’s a great chance to get the whole community together to have some fun.”
