The Benn Hall in Rugby was officially relaunched last week.
The Newbold Road venue was previously run under a contractual arrangement with a leisure operator but was taken back under the direction of Rugby Borough Council on April 1.
Since then it has been refurbished and to celebrate, a relaunch event was held on Thursday.
Visitors to the drop-in event were offered complimentary canapes, drinks and entertainment. The Mayor, Cllr Tony Gillias, also attended.
The Benn Hall has played host to a wealth of famous faces, entertained thousands of guests, and been the setting for many occasions.
Named after George Charles Benn, to commemorate the philanthropy of the Benn family, it was officially opened on July 5 1961 by Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.
The Queen Mother insisted on fulfilling a promise to open the Benn Hall, despite having suffered a painful injury to her ankle days before.
