OLYMPIC Torchbearers are to be handed a unique memento of their once in a lifetime moment thanks to Warwickshire County Council.

The 23 involved in the relay will be given them as a special souvenir.

They cost around £200 each and are available to buy once each torchbearer has completed their relay leg.

The torch features 8,000 small cut-out circles and they are manufactured by Bedworth’s Premier Sheet Metal.

Cllr Alan Farnell, Leader of Warwickshire County Council, said: “We want all our Torchbearers to have a special memento of their own Olympic moment.”
