DESPITE rumours of riots and disorder in and around Rugby, police have confirmed there have been no reports of trouble.
Warwickshire Police confirmed there has been no reports of disorder in the county, as recently experienced in other parts of the country but said the force remains on standby to help.
A spokesman said: “There have been no reports of disorder, as recently experienced in other parts of the country, in Warwickshire to date.
“All forces in England and Wales rely on support from other police services from time to time under a mutual aid agreement and such support is being coordinated nationally.
“Warwickshire Police has provided some support to colleagues and remains ready to provide any further support as may be required.
“As a force we continue to monitor events at a national level, and with partners we have contingency plans to respond to any issues that may impact on communities in Warwickshire.”
