A RUGBY pub has raised £2,659 for charity.

The Wheeltapper in Railway Terrace donated the money to Warwickshire Association for the Blind (WAB).

Manger Sarah Thrippleton said: “We have raised more than £10,000 for WAB over the last few years. We all have a good laugh and are happy to help support the good work.”

The majority of the money was raised on the Wheeltapper’s charity day on Easter Sunday and included an auction, raffle, quiz night, a fines committee and swear box.

Peter Soles, chairman of WAB said that he was extremely grateful to everyone at the pub.
