Keen photographers have been capturing the town’s character in order to win prizes in a popular competition.
Brethertons Solicitors has asked snappers to send in their best photos of Rugby and are offering a range of prizes including an iPad.
The firm has also hosted workshops with the help of a professional photographer who provided tips and tricks of the trade.
Hopeful entrants have attended Brethertons’ walks around the town to take inspiration and practice new techniques.
The entry pictured right was sent in by Stephen Lister.
He said: “While out for the walk around Rugby organised by Brethertons last Sunday, we stopped to take some shots of St Andrew’s Church.
“While everyone else was getting in close or looking up I decided to take a step back.
“The sign post helped me as the focal point is on the direction of it, whilst the church is thrown slightly out of focus.
“People are still able to see what and which church in Rugby it is.
“I was concentrating that much on taking the shot that I didn’t realise everyone had moved on to the next part of the walk.”
Richard Pell, Brethertons senior partner, said: “We are thrilled at the number and level of entries the competition has received so far.
“The photographs are very diverse and really showcase the vibrant town we live in.
“The competition is running until the end of August so to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes don’t delay, enter your snaps today.”
Categories include Buildings, Agriculture, People and Sport.
An iPad, £100 Love2Shop vouchers and a vintage bottle of Champagne are up for grabs. To enter your photos into Brethertons Solicitor’s competition and for more details email firstname.lastname@example.org.
