A WOODLAND walk is being held to raise money for Leukaemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma Research.

People are invited to take part in the Forget Me Not Walk between Princethorpe and Ryton on Sunday, September 18.

The event has been organised by Janet Haynes MBE (pictured), the woman behind the annual Rugby Bikeathon.

Janet said: “All the fundraising goes to fighting blood cancers.

“These events bring people together who know that every step they take is helping people with blood cancers.”

The three or five-mile walk starts at Burnthurst Farm in Princethorpe through woods to Ryton Country Park at 11am.

“It’s a gentle stroll through Woodlands bridle path round Ryton Pools and return to Burnthouse Farm,” Janet added.

To register or for more information telephone Janet Haynes on 01926 632258, email janethaynesllr@btinternet.com

It costs £7.50 in advance, £5 for children (12 and under) and £20 for a family ticket (two adults and two children). The price includes a T-shirt and a medal.
