WORLD-RENOWNED Trinity College Choir (Cambridge) and their conductor Stephen Layton will be performing at St Edith’s Church in Monks Kirby on Sunday 4 September.
The concert programme includes choral and organ works by Bach, Purcell, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Tallis and Byrd.
This concert provides a ‘not-to-be-missed’ opportunity for music lovers to hear the choir before it embarks on its European tour of Switzerland and Germany.

The concert is in aid of the St Edith’s Church Appeal which is currently focusing on raising sufficient funds to make the Church building weather-proof, to restore some of the missing or damaged architectural features and to replace some of the heavily eroded soft sandstone masonry. An estimated total of £165,000 is needed for the works.
Key individuals supporting this good cause include Rugby Gwen Hotten and The Earl and Countess of Denbigh.
