SLIMMERS met to take part in a sponsored zumbathon in Rugby at the weekend.
The event, organised by Slimming World consultant Sarah Edwards, was held at the Rugby Workers Club in Oliver Street on Saturday morning.
Cllr Gwen Hotten, the Mayor of Rugby, also took part.
Following the zumbathon - a popular dance fitness craze - there were a number of stalls set up selling a variety of goods including jewellery and cakes. All the money raised from the event will be donated to the Help for Heroes charity.
Sarah said: “It went really well. I’m not sure how much we’ve raised yet because it all needs counting up but it will all be donated to Help for Heroes. It’s a charity close to my heart because I come from a military background. I want to raise as much as possible. Every penny counts.”
