This Easter Sunday the 12th April, Mallory Park is offering the first 150 children under 16-years old a free Easter egg when they come to watch the second round of the Buildbase Mallory Trophy Championship Motorcycles Races.
Apart from the excitem
ent of a free Easter egg there is a full day's racing to be enjoyed. A total of 21 races will run throughout the day including an FSRA Classic sidecar race as well as Formula two sidecars.
140 solo machines are expected to take to the friendly circuit and with one round of the Championship under their belts the riders are keen to consolidate or improve on their Championship positions. With this in mind the racing is sure to be fraught and frantic.
Paul Curran is the man leading the Buildbase Mallory Trophy but he is only two points clear of Mark Littler and hot on both their heels is Pete Bradshaw the team owner of Co-ordit Yamaha. Curran and Littler are also duking it out for the 175 -1300 open Championship with Curran leading Littler by six points.
The 600 battle is equally exciting with local rider Leon Jeacock and last year's winner Steve Tomes having a joint lead in the Formula 600 class. Tomes is leading the Superstock 600 Championship from Jeacock and Dean Brown is holding third in both classes, he could easily pick up the pieces if the others make a mistake.
The on track action starts at 0930 with practice and qualifying with the racing commencing at 1100 running through to 1800.
