Celebrations all round
Brinklow U14s Girls triumphed in the final of the Coventry & District Girls League Cup Final at Hawkesmill FC against Bedworth Utd.
With the score level at 0-0 after full time, and then level at 0-0 after extra time, the girls triumphed 5-4 on penalties.
The penalties were scored by Bethany Morrison, Chelsea Smith, Jessica Linnell and Alice Clarke. With the score a 5-4 to
Brinklow it was down to the Captain of the team, Alice Clarke, to save the final penalty which she did with a finger tip save pushing the ball on to the right hand post.
Manager, Liz Clarke said: "I am over the moon with this win and delighted that this is the first piece of silverware won by a Brinklow girls team. The hard work and effort that these girls have put in this season has really paid off for them."

Brinklow FC Saturday Seniors First Team are the Foleshill Charity Cup Winners after beating Hartshill 3-2 in the final played at Copsewood Sports & Social Club.
This team have also gained promotion to the Coventry Alliance Division 2 for next season. Manager, Paul Huddlestone, said: "This is a great achievement for Brinklow's seniors first team.
"Winning the cup and now gaining promotion has topped off a fantastic season for everyone involved with the team."

Building on the success of Brinklow FC, Saturday Seniors First Team, Brinklow FC are forming an additional Reserves team playing in Coventry Alliance Division 5 for season 2009/2010.

Brinklow FC U14s Boys' team have gained promotion to the John Bryan Coventry Minor League B Division at the first attempt.
Coach, Martin Pulford, said: "The whole squad thoroughly deserve the promotion and trophies they will pick up in the next month or so, because I know how hard they've had to work to earn it.
"Every week they have raised their energy levels, improved their individual technical abilities and developed the entire team work ethic. In short they deserve the honours because they have been magnificent, dedicated footballers with a desire to succeed."

Congratulations to Brinklow U15s who are also confirmed as runners up in the John Bryan Coventry
Minor League C Division. Manager, Dave Wright, said: "Well done and I would like to thank everyone who has been involved with the team this season."
