It’s been a great season for Brinklow Football Club.
The first team are hoping to be crowned Coventry Alliance Division One champions and the Reserves have already secured the Division Five title.
The first team have also reached three finals, starting with the Bedworth Nursing Cup tomorrow (Good Friday). They will be defending their title against AEI Rugby at Bedworth United’s Oval ground, kick-off 7.30pm.
Then they have reached the Foleshill Charity Cup Final on Friday, April 20 when they will play Folly Lane Reserves at Coventry Sphinx, ko 7pm.
And Brinklow will contest the Telegraph Challenge Cup Final at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on Tuesday, May 1, ko 7.30pm against either Christ the King or Triumph.
The lads have been coached this season by Ryan Byrne, who also works with Birmingham City and has brought a couple of new players with him.
Manager Paul Huddlestone has a tough job to select the 11 players from his squad of about 16 for each final but is really pleased with the team spirit and cameraderie that has brought them this far.
Most of the players have been together for several years, coming up through the youth team. They are looking forward to the finals and building on a successful future for the club.
