Celebrating a great season

Rugby Racing Cycling Club held its presentation evening, celebrating a successful 2012 season.

The event was organised by Craig McKee, with new lady club member Naomi Leugs providing an excellent buffet.

After a brilliant year Tim Hastie was the recipient of most awards, topping the table for the season’s points competition, the best 25 mile times, the 4-hour time trial and the club best all rounder, based on a range of distances. Other award winners were:

Marina Bloom - Best Woman rider. David Kiernan - best times in 10-mile events. Gary Howes - handicap award, based on the season’s points competition. Ryan Kenworthy - Best Junior rider and Hillclimb Champion. Matt Plant - Best 50 mile in an open event. Matt Jones - best newcomer. The season-long Vets competition was won by David Schofield-Newton with the best times in 10 and 25 mile events on standard based on age.

Craig McKee was presented with the Presidents Cup for his committee work and organising training rides.
