D&B 2nds won the toss and inserted the home side in a local fixture on Saturday. Matt Hipkiss (2-31) got D&B off to a great start with two early wickets, however, opener Steve Keyworth (73) batted well and stayed in for the majority of the innings, finding support with David Johnson (25) and A Brown (25).

Pete Reynolds took 3-25 as Flecknoe were all out in the last over for 173.

In reply D&B lost regular wickets and slipped to 47-6 and 89-8. A ninth wicket partnership of 46 gave D&B hope, but ultimately D&B fell 36 runs short, number 7 Hipkiss running out of partners for an unbeaten 38. Sam Olive and Ed Scotney both took three wickets each for Flecknoe.
