New Saturday morning club

Saturday morning saw the first sessions of WicketKids sports club. It will be teaching children how to play cricket over the summer months.

The first three classes were full of energetic children aged two and over practising their bowling skills with the colourful foam cricket balls, playing various games, launching balls skywards from a parachute and generally enjoying the fun skills.

WicketKids is a spin-off venture from the team that brought you the hugely popular rugby classes, ScrumKids.

Coaches Mark Tovey, Jacob Gilder and Sam Chambers demonstrated and then guided the activities both outdoors and in the sportshall at Harris School.

The first week was a free trial and (spaces permitting) all children who attend WicketKids will receive their first session as a free trial. Visit www.facebook.com/WicketKids to find out more information and sign up for your free trial.
