Join the Kwik Cricket and junior nets

Having started their pre-season training in encouraging fashion, Willoughby Cricket Club continue their preparations across all their age levels in the coming weeks.

Both the under 11 and under 13 junior sections and the senior teams have had decent work-outs which will continue until the end of March.

This Saturday - February 22 - is set to see the club’s youngest age group, the Kwik Cricket section, enjoy the first of two sessions planned indoors in the coming weeks.

With soft balls and blue plastic bats and stumps, Kwik Cricket is the fun and simple way for boys and girls aged six to 11 years to pick up a bat and ball and start learning to play cricket.

WCC have nearly 15 years experience of delivering Kwik Cricket for youngsters looking to get into the game, and 2014 is set to be another busy year for this ever-growing section of the club.

The session this Saturday will be at the Rugby Centre of Warwickshire College, from 1.15 to 2.15pm. All are welcome.

The club’s Under 11s and Under 13s will return indoors on Saturday, March 1, at the same time, same venue.

Before then, Willoughby senior players continue their preparations and workouts next and every Wednesday, again at Warwickshire College in Rugby, from 8.15 to 9.30pm.
